Sensex down by 77 points on weak global cues

The bombay stock exchange benchmark sensex opened lower by 77 points in early morning trade on Monday on selling by funds on weak global cues.

The bombay stock exchange benchmark sensex opened lower by 77 points in early morning trade on Monday on selling by funds on weak global cues.

The 30-share index, sensex, lost 77.61 points to 19,953.22 in the first five minutes of trade as heavyweights like reliance industries, Infosys, Bharti Tele and Gail traded lower.

The wide-based national stock exchange's nifty also fell by 56.55 points to 5,991.15.
