Ultratech net profit up 22%

Aditya Birla group company UltraTech Cement on Wednesday reported a 22.4% year-on-year increase in net profit at Rs 683 crore for the quarter ended June against Rs 558 crore last year.

Aditya Birla group company UltraTech Cement on Wednesday reported a 22.4% year-on-year increase in net profit at Rs 683 crore for the quarter ended June against Rs 558 crore last year. Revenue grew 9.3% to Rs 4,365 crore during the April-June quarter compared to Rs 3,990 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal year.

The results are not strictly comparable with the corresponding period last year as it includes Samrudhi Cement’s performance, which was amalgamated to Utra Tech Cement in July 2010, the company said in a statement.
