In a release in Puducherry on Saturday, Chairman of CII T Rajarajan said that allocation of more funds for new and renewable energy sector was a step in the right direction. This initiative would help to overcome shortage of power across the country.
Increase in allocation of funds for primary education, 40 per cent of the budgetary allocations for infrastructure development, new income tax slab and special care for agriculture were some of the highlights of the budget, he said.
