Honda Amaze secures 5 stars in Bharat NCAP crash test: Check out its safety features

The Honda Amaze has recently earned a 5-star rating in Adult Occupant Protection and 4 stars in Child Occupant Protection from Bharat NCAP. 

2025 Honda Amaze has gone through a crash test by BNCAP (Bharat New Car Assessment Programme) where it secured 5 stars in Adult Occupant Protection and 4 stars in Child Occupant Protection. Bharat NCAP tested V CVT, VX CVT and ZX MT variants of the Amaze, but the rating is applicable to all the variants that are on sale in the market. Here is a quick list of all the safety features that the 3rd-gen Honda Amaze comes with.

What are the standard safety features of the Honda Amaze?

With the third generation, Honda added loads of safety features as standard. It comes with

  • 6 airbags
  • Energy Absorbing Front Pretensioner Seatbelts with Load Limiter
  • 3 point Emergency Locking retractor seatbelts
  • Front & Rear Seats Head Restraints for all occupants
  • ISOFIX mounts for child seats
  • Rear parking sensors
  • Anti-lock brake system
  • Electronic Brake Distribution
  • Brake Assist with Brake Override System
  • Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with Electronic Stability
  • Traction Control
  • Hill Start Assist
  • Emergency Stop Signal
  • Seatbelt reminders

What safety features does the VX variant add over the V variant?

If the customer steps up to the mid-trim level, which is the VX, Honda adds a LaneWatch camera that shows a live feed from a camera mounted near the left rearview mirror and a rear camera as well, which comes in handy while parking. Then there is also an automatic headlamp, so the driver does not need to turn on or off the headlight. A few other features that get added are a rear windshield demister, automatic wipers and a security alarm.

What are the safety features that are added to the top-end ZX variant?

Apart from the features of VX and V variant, the ZX variant comes with Honda Sensing, which is an ADAS Suite. This includes a Collision Mitigation Braking System that emits audible alerts and shows visual signals when it detects other vehicles or pedestrians.

Then there is Adaptive Cruise Control that automatically accelerates and decelerates the vehicle up to a predefined vehicle speed when travelling long distances, for example, on expressways. The Amaze is also equipped with Auto High Beam, so it can automatically shift between high and low beam, depending on whether there is traffic in front or not.

Honda also offers the Lane Keeping Assist System that uses a camera to detect lane markings and assist the steering to keep the vehicle in the centre. There is also the Lead Car Departure Notification System, which alerts the driver that the car in front of him moves forward or changes lanes. The vehicle is equipped with a Road Departure Mitigation System that notifies the driver when it identifies that the vehicle is nearing the outer edge of the pavement, an approaching vehicle, or is veering into another lane without the use of a turn signal.
