The B-MPV itself has been spotted testing on Indian roads several times. Based on the available spy shots and Nissan’s teasers, the model is expected to be a re-badged version of the Renault Triber. The two vehicles are likely to share their underlying platform and mechanical components, while the Nissan will feature its own exterior and interior design.

New Nissan B-MPV is based on the Renault Triber

Although full details remain undisclosed, the upcoming MPV is expected to mirror several updates recently introduced on the Triber. Both models will likely have a similar overall profile, but Nissan will differentiate its version with a redesigned front and rear section, including new headlights, taillights, bumpers and alloy wheels in line with the brand’s current styling direction. The cabin is also expected to receive Nissan-specific trim and equipment changes.

Under the hood, the MPV is likely to use the same 1.0-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine offered in the Triber. This unit produces 71 hp and 96 Nm of torque and is paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT. Nissan has not confirmed any alternative powertrain options at this stage.

Nissan's current portfolio includes Magnite and X-Trail

The company’s current India lineup consists of two SUVs: the Magnite and the X-Trail. The Magnite is priced from 5.61 lakh to 8.47 lakh (ex-showroom), while the X-Trail is sold in a single variant at 48.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
