1 IAS AND 7 PCS officers transferred in Punjab

The Punjab government on Thursday transferred IAS officer Raj Kamal Chaudhuri from secretary, health and family welfare, as secretary, home (jails), and director, rural development and panchayats.

The Punjab government on Thursday transferred IAS officer Raj Kamal Chaudhuri from secretary, health and family welfare, as secretary, home (jails), and director, rural development and panchayats. The government also issued orders for additional charge to two IAS officers and transfer/additional charges of seven PCS officers with immediate effect.


Registrar, cooperatives, AS Miglani has been given the additional charge of managing director (MD), Markfed, and chief executive officer of the Anandpur Sahib Foundation. Another IAS officer, Priyank Bharti, director, local government, would look after the post of secretary, local government, during the period JM Bala Murgan remains on training, a spokesman said.

The PCS officers with fresh portfolios are Sarojni Gautam Sharda, deputy excise and taxation commissioner, Jalandhar, in addition to additional chief administrator (ACA), Jalandhar Development Authority; Parmeet Shergill, ACA, Patiala Development Authority, in addition to special officer attached with commissioner, Patiala division; Sukhdev Singh, subdivisional magistrate (SDM), Bassi Pathana, in addition to SDM, Khamano; Vijay Syal, SDM, Ferozepur; Amaninder Kaur, general manager, public distribution system (PDS) and direct payment, Punsup; Lovejeet Kalsi, additional deputy commissioner (ADC-general), Amritsar; and Major Amit, ADC (general), Barnala.
