3-yr-old girl dies, father injured as jeep hits bike
A three-year-old girl, Ankita, died on the spot while her father Jasbir Singh sustained severe injuries after their motorcycle collided with a Tata Sumo jeep near Ballopur on the Lalru-Handesra road on Sunday afternoon.

A three-year-old girl, Ankita, died on the spot while her father Jasbir Singh sustained severe injuries after their motorcycle collided with a Tata Sumo jeep near Ballopur on the Lalru-Handesra road on Sunday afternoon.
A resident of Malakpur village, Jasbir was taken to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32 in Chandigarh after his initial admission at a Lalru hospital. The father-daughter duo was on the way to Lalru at the time of the mishap.
The Sumo driver fled the scene but has been booked, while the body of Ankita was sent for post-mortem at the Dera Bassi civil hospital.
