324 constables promoted
As many as 324 constables were promoted as head constables in the Chandigarh police on Saturday. The policemen have completed their training course at Phillaur in Punjab. Senior officers in the police department said that more constables would be inducted.

As many as 324 constables were promoted as head constables in the Chandigarh police on Saturday.
The policemen have completed their training course at Phillaur in Punjab. Senior officers in the police department said that more constables would be inducted.
Last year, a list of 680 policemen, who were in line of promotion, was sent to the home department by the UT Police in May, out of which total 480 were cleared. A substantial number of those elevated were constables and others included few inspectors.
