60-year-old woman killed in road accident

A 60-year-old woman was killed when a speeding car hit her near the Badheri market in Sector 41, on Monday evening.

A 60-year-old woman was killed when a speeding car hit her near the Badheri market in Sector 41, on Monday evening.

Police said Krishna Devi; a Sector- 40 resident was crossing the road to go the market, when she was hit by the car that was being driven by SAS Nagar resident Ravinder Singh.

Singh rushed her to the Government Multi Speciality Hospital (GMSCH), Sector 16 from where she was referred to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER). She succumbed to her injuries there.

Police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Singh
