However, there has been no official statement. Panag has roots in Chandigarh and lives in Mumbai. Her father, Lt Gen HS Panag (retd) had joined the party last month, while she formally joined AAP about a couple of days back.

Workers send postcards
On Wednesday, workers started their campaign by launching a unique drive to approach residents through sending them hand-written postcards, asking for votes. The contents of letter were “Vote, support and elect the Aam Aadmi Party, if you want a better future for your children; if you want to be part of this change and if you want to eradicate corruption from the society.”

Along with the slogans, workers have also asked people to donate money as well as give time to the AAP.
One of the volunteers Gurjasjit Singh said, “We have started a unique initiative and wrote more than 400 letters.”

He claimed that they had sent handwritten postcards, which were economical and affordable. If they would have printed the message, the cost would have been Rs 6 per card.

The addresses were picked from the electoral rolls and urban areas such as Sector 22 and 23 were covered initially. The letters are in English.
