Led by AAP leader Nipun Kapoor, the villagers protested that though their houses had fallen and they were living in a dharamshala, electricity bills were still being issued on their names.

They added that some of the bills ran into thousands of rupees. The protestors raised anti-department slogans and demanded the withdrawal of bills.

Various houses in the village had developed cracks in 2012 which forced the villagers to abandon the houses.

The villagers are either living with their relatives or in a dharamshala. The cracks occurred after the hill, on which the village is situated, developed cracks.
