A married man has been booked for raping a minor girl on the pretext of marriage.
The accused, Vinod Kumar (32) of Ravi Dass Basti, a property dealer, was produced in a court on
Monday and sent in a day's police custody.
Earlier, he had been booked under sections 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC on the complaint of victim's father.
When the victim came to know that Vinod was already married, she confided in her parents. The victim had told her patents that she knew the accused for nearly an year and he had promised to marry her. The accused had reportedly taken her to different locations and committed the crime after administering her drinks laced with sedatives.
