A defence ministry statement issued in Srinagar said that during his two-day visit, the minister would review the security situation in the Valley.

Antony would chair the unified headquarters meeting, besides meeting chief minister Omar Abdullah and governor NN Vohra.

"He will also be visiting and interacting with the troops deployed in forward locations," the statement said.
