Pledging all-out support to Baba Ramdev who called on Badal at his official residence in Chandigarh to seek the cooperation of SAD for his movement, the chief minister said that the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre had contributed to social maladies of unemployment, corruption, poverty and illiteracy on the countrymen due to its ill-conceived and anti-people policies, besides denying basic civic amenities even after more than six decades of Independence.

Interacting with media persons along with the yoga guru, Badal said the Centre had hardly taken any steps to bring back the black money hoarded illegally in the foreign banks.

He said the SAD had been time and again pressing upon the Union government to immediately bring back the ill-gotten money hidden in banks abroad so that it could be judiciously utilised for funding welfare schemes for millions of poor across the country.
