California mayor calls on Patil
A four member delegation led by Amarpreet Dhaliwal, mayor of San Joaquin city of California, called on Punjab governor and UT administrator Shivraj V Patil, and discussed at length the issue of Indians staying their illegally.

Patil assured the delegation that they would extend all possible help if the delegation would provide them with the exact number and names of the persons staying in the US illegaly.
"If any NRI wants to come back to India he is welcome" said Patil adding that if they are interested to come back to their country we will provide all the help to set up any business here.
He invited them to come and start manufacturing solar cells in India as this area has big scope for solar energy.
MP Singh, principal secretary to governor and Arvinder Singh Lakhan president Youth wing of SAD NRI California, USA were also present on the occasion.
