Former chief minister and permanent invitee to the Congress Working Committee (CWC) Capt Amarinder Singh today dared Punjab Congress chief Partap Singh Bajwa to take disciplinary action against him.

Referring to Bajwa’s statement that ‘action will be taken against Amarinder at the appropriate time’, Capt said, “this is the appropriate time, let us hear and see what he intends doing!”

He said that unfortunately Bajwa seemed to be unaware that the PCC comes under the CWC and not the other way around, he pointed out, while adding, besides this whole business of dramatising the ‘CBI approach’ is meant to divert the opinion in the party, which had split down the Centre on the question of leaving deserving and senior members out as office bearers of the executive and the DCC’s, where many presidents who have done exceedingly well in their districts were removed to accommodate favourites.
