Chandigarh: Temperature rises, rainy weekend forecast

The Met department has predicted rain from July 5. There is a possibility of thunder with no shower before that.

The forecast suggests that the residents will have to brave sweltering heat in the next two days and the humidity could also be an irritating factor to contend with.

With rainfall of 7.2 mm on Monday night , a fall in maximum temperature by six notches was witnessed at 34 degree Celsius, which was 40 degree Celsius on Monday.

Similarly the minimum temperature had also been recorded 23.2 degree Celsius against 26.8 degree Celsius.

The Met department claimed that with the rainfall, the temperature had gone two notches below normal which had given a major relief to the residents but it went up on Thursday, recording 37.2 degree Celsius maximum temperature.

The minimum temperature was 27.5 degree Celsius.
