On the 29th day of chain hunger strike on Monday, five CHB employees who sat on the strike were - Sukhwinder Singh, Sajjan Singh, Hari Prashad, Harish Chander and Joginder Singh to register their protest for delay in implementation of pension scheme to the employees of CHB.
Considering the failures of the CHB authorities and UT administration to implement the scheme, the Chandigarh Housing Board Employees Co-ordination Committee (CHBECC) had decided to extend the hunger strike till May 20.
The case for implementation of pension scheme is pending with the Chandigarh administration since 2009 for arranging formal approval of the administrator.
