CM Khattar’s assets up by 107% in five years
Moveable assets up by about 1,032 % to reach ₹94 lakh from ₹8.29 lakh in 2014; immovable down by about 38 per cent from ₹53 lakh in 2014 to ₹33 lakh
Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s assets registered an increase of about 107 per cent from ₹61.2 lakh in 2014 to ₹1.27 crore.
As per the affidavit filed by the Khattar with Election Commission of India, chief minister’s annual income for 2018-19 was ₹28.9 lakh and ₹34.8 lakh for 2017-18. His annual income in 2013-14 was ₹2.73 lakh.
During his tenure as chief minister, Khattar’s moveable assets went up by about 1,032 per cent to reach ₹94 lakh from ₹8.29 lakh in 2014. On the other hand, his immovable assets declined by about 38 per cent from ₹53 lakh in 2014 to ₹33 lakh.
As per the affidavit, as chief minister, Khattar’s land holding reduced from 20 kanal in 2014 to 12 kanal as he reportedly donated a piece of land to a trust.
The value of his one-and-half acre of agriculture land was assessed at ₹30 lakh and he also has an ancestral house measuring 1,350 square yards valued at ₹3 lakh at Baniyani village in Rohtak district. According to the affidavit, there has been no increase in the value of the properties owned by the chief minister.
In 2014, Khattar had liabilities of ₹6.20 lakh, including a bank loan of ₹1.20 lakh, but he does not have any liability this time. The chief minister’s cash in hand has also reduced to ₹15,000 from ₹1 lakh mentioned in the 2014 election affidavit. The chief minister doesn’t own any vehicle, weapon or Jewellery and no court case is pending against him.
