Computer teacher acquitted of rape charge

District and sessions judge SK Aggarwal acquitted a 30-year-old computer teacher of rape charges on Wednesday. Inderjeet, a resident of Mundi Kharar, was arrested by the police in December 2012 on the charges of raping a 19-year-old resident of Mauli Jagran. He was acquitted after the prosecution failed to prove the allegations.

Inderjeet, a resident of Mundi Kharar, was arrested by the police in December 2012 on the charges of raping a 19-year-old resident of Mauli Jagran. He was acquitted after the prosecution failed to prove the allegations.

The UT Police in December 2012 registered a case of rape and kidnapping against Inderjeet on complaint of the victim.

According to the prosecution, the victim after completing her Class 12 had joined a private institute for computer course where Inderjeet was a teacher.

The prosecution alleged that Inderjeet had raped the victim on the pretext of marrying her. The victim had even alleged that the accused had concealed that he was already married and had a five-year-old son.
