Dasuya bypoll: Kalia demands action against Cong for poll expenditure
BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia today appealed to the Election Commission to seek details from the state Congress of the amount collected by it for the Dasuya by-elections. The state Congress had allegedly demanded Rs 1 lakh from each of its legislators as well as defeated candidates as contribution to the election fund.

"Though the limit for election expenditure fixed by the Election Commission is Rs 15 lakh, the Congress has collected Rs 1.17 crore. The power of money, if used in a by-election, is likely to influence the election process," Kalia said.
Kalia demanded action against the Congress candidate as well as the party.
