Now, dengue has entrapped the hospital staff and their family members too. At least 12 people, including staff members of General Hospital, Sector 6, have been found suffering with dengue-like symptoms.

At least 12 people, including staff members of General Hospital, Sector 6, have been found suffering with dengue-like symptoms.

Five cases of dengue were confirmed on Sunday.

Most of the cases of the dengue have been detected in the staff and lab technicians deployed in the emergency ward.

Among the patients are lab technician Krishan, his wife Savita and daughter Preeti.

A woman doctor's father and a pharmacist have also been tested positive for dengue. All these patients are getting treatment in the general hospital and a few are being treated in private hospitals.

According to information from the health department, around 80 samples had been taken for testing in the past few days and seven samples were tested positive.

The samples of those who have been tested positive for dengue are residents of Sectors 9, 10, 11, 21, Industrial Area, Morni and Manimajra.
