ECI director general in Chandigarh on Feb 24

The director general of Election Commission of India (ECI), Akshay Raut is visiting Chandigarh for review meetings and a workshop related to communication and SVEEP for Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.

The director general of Election Commission of India (ECI), Akshay Raut is visiting Chandigarh for review meetings and a workshop related to communication and SVEEP for Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.

An official spokesperson of the chief electoral office, Punjab, said during the DG's visit a media workshop on election regulations, paid news and systematic voters' education and electors' participation (SVEEP) would be held.

He said the director general would also review SVEEP preparations with the CEO and district officials through video conference.

The spokesperson added that the instructions have been issued to deputy commissioners-cum-district election officers and district SVEEP nodal officers to attend the meeting, video conferences and workshop along with officers concerned.
