Governor and CM pay homage to Munde

Haryana governor Jagananth Pahadia and chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Tuesday expressed grief over the demise of union minister for rural development, Gopinath Munde, 64, who had passed away in a road accident in New Delhi on Tuesday morning.

Haryana governor Jagananth Pahadia and chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Tuesday expressed grief over the demise of union minister for rural development, Gopinath Munde, 64, who had passed away in a road accident in New Delhi on Tuesday morning.

In his condolence message, Pahadia said that Munde always stood for the common man and led a simple life. He prayed for his soul's peaceful departure.

Describing Munde as a seasoned parliamentarian, Hooda said that he would be long remembered for his distinguished public services. He conveyed his condolences to members of the bereaved family.

BJP leaders in the state, Ram Bilas Sharma and Anil Vij, and Abhay Chautala, leader of the Indian National Lok Dal, condoled Munde's death and termed it as a big loss to the nation.
