HSRPs for 'CH01-AM' series to be installed from tomorrow

The Registering and Licensing Authority, Chandigarh, will start affixing the High Security Registration Plates for vehicles of the "CH01-AM" series from February 1.
The RLA in a statement issued on Thursday said the owners of vehicles with registration numbers of the "CH01-AM" series shall apply for affixation of HSRPs with the RLA on a plain paper mentioning the details of chassis number, engine number, make and model of the vehicle, a copy of registration certificate and a copy of valid insurance.
As per the RLA, the high-security registration plates will be affixed for a period spread over one month.
The RLA would ask the UT traffic police to initiate the process for challaning vehicles of those who fail get HSRPs affixed by March 2014.
As of now, HSRPs are being installed at three notified locations - the office of RLA, Sector-17; SDM(S), Sector 42; and SDM (E), Industrial Area, Phase 1, Chandigarh.
