Here's what the topper said in a conversation with HT.
What’s your success mantra?
Focus, dedication, determination and perseverance are the keys to my success. I never lost faith in myself. I was under no pressure as such.
How many hours did you study in a day? Did you take private coaching and why?
I used to study for at least nine hours a day. I took coaching, which helped me throughout my journey. They taught me to believe in my strengths and work on my weaknesses.
What did you do for recreation when not studying?
I am a big cricket fan. Thus, I never missed any major match of India. If I am not studying, you can find me at a cricket ground. I also love to watch TV in my leisure time.
Are you satisfied with your performance?
There is no end to desires. I could have scored better, but at the end I am happy enough to celebrate my achievements.
Which institute would you want to join and why?
I will opt for IIT Bombay and choose computer sciences as the stream. My parents also want so. They want me to excel in computer sciences and I am focused enough to fulfil their dream.
