He said that the new bank was opened in tune with the bank's strategy to provide further autonomy to understand the local needs and extend financial assistance to the region.

In addition to this, the zonal centre will also play a vital role in helping the bank achieve its goal of expanding its retail loan and MSME loan.

Raghavan said, "The establishment of our zonal office is in consonance with the banks' philosophy of decentralisation of decision making to provide localised solutions and superior service to our customers."
