Stating that his party would also challenge it in court, the INLD leader Om Prakash Chautala alleged in a statement here on Sunday that by giving such judgment, Sharma had only attempted to save the corrupt government of chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, which was a government of turncoats.

Chautala said Sharma had trampled the sanctity of the chair of speaker and given a biased and constitutionally improper decision. "The defectors' merger cannot be held proper in any constitutional aspect and the speaker should have risen above politics and decided upon the case keeping the sanctity of the institution of the speaker," he said.
