Justice Jindal is new chairman of VAT Tribunal

The Punjab government has appointed Justice AN Jindal (retd) as chairman of the Punjab Value Added Tax (VAT) Tribunal. He will exercise the functions as stated in the Punjab Value Added Tax Act, 2005.

The Punjab government has appointed Justice AN Jindal (retd) as chairman of the Punjab Value Added Tax (VAT) Tribunal. He will exercise the functions as stated in the Punjab Value Added Tax Act, 2005.

Stating this, a spokesperson of the Punjab government said the jurisdiction of the tribunal will extend throughout the whole state. The spokesperson also added that the appointment of the chairman of the tribunal shall be for a term of 3 years or till he attains the age of 67 years, whichever is earlier.
