Former railway minister, Pawan Kumar Bansal was the chief guest on the occasion.
Thomas Joseph, secretary of organization said, it is celebrated with communal Harmony, universal brotherhood and equality. The feast included 21 item pure vegetarian meals served on the banana leaves. Women from PGIMER, Chandigarh performed popular dance of kerela ' Thiruvathirakali'.

The tricity which has the population of nearly 25000 Keralite populations comprising of hindus, Christians and Muslims, who started coming to Chandigarh in late 70's.
Onam, which is main festival, is celebrated mid of Aug- Sep traditional harvest festival of Kerala that marks the homecoming of the mythical King Mahabali. It's a festival rich in culture and heritage.
