Maj Dhillon appointed political secy to Badal
Punjab government today appointed Maj Bhupinder Singh Dhillon as political secretary to chief minister Parkash Singh Badal in the rank of minister of state with immediate effect.
Punjab government on Thursday appointed Maj Bhupinder Singh Dhillon as political secretary to chief minister Parkash Singh Badal in the rank of minister of state with immediate effect.
Stating this here, a spokesman for the chief minister's office said Maj Dhillon had earlier served in the same capacity during the tenure of the SAD-BJP government from 1997 to 2002 and again in the previous SAD-BJP regime.
Dhillon (63) hails from the CM's native village Badal and is son of ex-MP Gurraj Singh Dhillon.
After completing his education from Lawrence School at Sanawar, he did his training at National Defence Academy at Khadakwasla and Indian Military Academy at Dehradun. He was commissioned as Second Lieutenant in Indian Army on December 21, 1969.
