Modern facilities for Kullu, Lahaul fruit markets

To provide better marketing facility for agriculture and horticulture produce at the door step of people in Kullu district, the Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) Kullu and Lahaul Spiti would equip vegetable and fruit markets of both the districts with modern facility in coming days.

Talking to reporters at Kullu, APMC chairman Kullu and Lahaul Spiti Upender Kant Mishra said that to provide better services to farmers and horticulturists of district, the APMC would mange proper electricity supply, sanitation and drinking water facility at each market in the district.

He said that flying squads would be constituted to regulate the system in markets to keep a tab on businessmen taking advantage of farmers' ignorance.
