Night temperatures drops again in Punjab, Haryana

Cold conditions return to most parts of Punjab and Haryana today as minimum temperatures dropped by 2 to 4 degree Celsius in the region.

Cold condition returned to most parts of Punjab and Haryana on Saturday as minimum temperatures dropped by 2 to 4 degree Celsius in the region.

Night temperatures dropped after remaining above normal levels for the past few days, with Amritsar recording 5 degree C that was down three notches, the Met Department said here.

Ludhiana recorded a minimum temperature of 8 degree C, down two notches, while Patiala's low settled at 8.1 degree C.

In Haryana, Narnaul recorded a low of 6 degree C, down four notches. While Hisar experienced a cold night at 6.6 degree Celsius, the low at Karnal was 6.2 degree C, both recording temperatures four notches below normal.

Rohtak and Ambala recorded 9 degree C and 8.9 degree C, respectively.

Chandigarh had a clear sky in the morning but the night temperature here dropped to 7.7 deg C, down by two notches.
