Complainant Pallavi Yadav, wife of Pardeep Kumar, had said theft had taken place when she was away to Uttar Pradesh (UP) where her husband is on deputation. She said some unidentified persons had taken away stuff from their house by loading it in a truck. A DDR was lodged with the police.

The facts were even verified from Pardeep Kumar and their servant.

During verification it was found that the house in question was a Government accommodation and was allotted to Pardeep, who had taken away his household articles a few weeks ago and surrendered the said property to the Punjab government.

During further verification, the police said it was found that a matrimonial dispute was pending a Delhi court between Pardeep and his wife.
