Omar bats for early completion of Srinagar-Leh line

Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah today stressed on the need of early completion of Srinagar-Leh transmission line. Power Grid Corporation of India Limited Chairman RN Nayak called on the chief minister here and apprised him of the status of various works

Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah today stressed on the need of early completion of Srinagar-Leh transmission line. Power Grid Corporation of India Limited Chairman RN Nayak called on the chief minister here and apprised him of the status of various works being executed by the Grid Corporation in the state.


The chief minister emphasised the need for speeding up the work on Srinagar-Leh transmission line to enable smooth supply of electricity and its distribution in Ladakh region.

Abdullah also stressed the need for the timely completion of the ITIs being built by the PGCIL at Ganderbal and Jammu.

The PGCIL chairman assured the chief minister that the corporation would take all steps aimed at completion of the projects within the scheduled time frame.
