One held with country-made pistol in Panchkula

Haryana police have arrested a person and allegedly seized an illegal country- made .305-bore pistol and one live cartridge from Panchkula today. Accused Jai Bhagwan alias Pappu of village Badvasani under Sonipat Sadar police station has been booked in a case registered under Sections 25, 54 and 59 of Arms Act.

A police department spokesman said the accused Jai Bhagwan alias Pappu was resident of village Badvasani under Sonipat Sadar police station.

Police have registered a case against him under Sections 25, 54 and 59 of Arms Act. The accused was produced in the court today which remanded him in three-day police custody.

Further investigations are in progress.
