Among the government agencies, Pungrain has procured 17 lakh MT (31%), followed by Markfed, 13 lakh MT (23.8%), Punsup, 12.17 lakh MT (22.5%), Punjab State Warehouse Corporation, 5.39 lakh MT (10%) and Punjab Agro, 5.24 lakh MT (9.6%).
Patiala leads among the districts in terms of crop arrivals, with 5.31 lakh MT purchased so far, followed by Ferozepur (5.3 lakh MT) and Ludhiana (5.16 lakh MT), a spokesman said.
