The Punjab government has decided to re-employ 27 retired PCS officers with effect from January 1 for another six months. The extension has been granted purely on contractual basis. The spokesman said that earlier 32 PCS officers were re-employed by the government till December 31. Five officers who have not been granted extension are Satish Singla, Bhupinder Singh, Zora Singh Thind, Pritam Singh and Sohan Lal Bhumbak.
