The Punjab unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday claimed to have reached the 10 lakh mark in a membership drive.

State BJP chief Kamal Sharma said the landmark, achieved in a little over two months after the start of the drive on November 17, was the result of efforts put in by party workers across the state.

He underlined that the party had managed to reach all sections of society with the drive.

He added that different wings of the BJP were now ready for next edition of the drive in which the party wants to achieve the target of 21 lakh members before March 31.
