It was also informed that Chandigarh Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) report was still awaited regarding deceased’s SIM card and mobile phone calls. Information was submitted by Gurgaon assistant police commissioner Ravinder Tomar before the bench headed by justice Ritu Bahri during the resumed hearing of a petition filed by deceased’s elder sister Balsame M Sangma.
The body of Dana, a 21-year-old MBA student in Amity University, was found in her hostel room.
She had appeared for her second semester examination on the day she died. According to Amity officials, she was found with a mobile phone in switched-on mode in her pocket inside the examination hall for cheating. Whereas, the petitioner had said that Dana was then taken to a room by the officials where she was confined for more than half-an-hour and it was possible that certain untoward incidents took place. Later, she hanged herself from the ceiling fan.
The petitioner had sought directions for transfer of the probe into the case to any other independent investigation agency outside the state.
However, Tomar informed the court on Monday that the petitioner was not co-operating with the investigation team.
