In a statement, he said the increase in petrol price by Rs 7 within 30 days showed the government was playing into the hands of a multinational oil lobby.
There was no transparent formula to determine the price of petroleum products, Badal said.
He alleged the UPA government had failed on all fronts and demanded an immediate roll back in the hike in petrol price.
