Session on Sukhna Lake conservation on May 7

The National Institute of Hydrology (NIH), Roorkee, and department of zoology, Panjab University (PU), is organising a session on "Conservation and Management of Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh" on, May 7.

Santosh Kumar, chief wildlife warden and conservator of forests, Chandigarh administration, will be the chief guest and RD Singh, director, NIH, will preside over the inaugural session.

Prof MS Johal from department of zoology, PU; SS Grewal, president, Society for Promotion and Conservation of Environment (SPACE), Chandigarh; and Suhas Khobragade, scientist-D, NIH; will be the prominent people who will share their views on various aspects of Sukhna Lake.

The recommendations formed after deliberations of this special session will be given to agencies concerned for implementation.
