Stating this here on Monday, chief parliamentary secretary. agriculture, Gurbachan Singh Babbehali said the state government was providing Rs 500 per quintal subsidy on certified seeds of wheat varieties such as HD-2967, PBW-550, 621, 590 and PBW 509.
He added that 50% subsidy would be given for seed pesticides through the agriculture department, sale centres of Punseed, NSE cooperative societies and Kribhco.
He said 50% or Rs 500 per hectare subsidy would also be given on seed treatment of wheat and on latest agriculture machinery. Babbehali appealed to farmers to contact the chief agriculture officer or the agriculture department for any information.
