The Investment Promotion Summit being organised on December 9 and 10 will host business heads and representatives of more than 2,000 companies from all across the country and even from abroad. Reviewing the arrangements on the occasion, the deputy CM asked officers to take steps and project Punjab as the best state for doing business to the visiting dignitaries.
He also directed that all arrangements for the summit should be done in a professional manner and emphasised the need to ensure usage of modern communication tools.
He directed that the ongoing beautification and landscaping of the sports complex should be expedited.
The deputy CM constituted a high-level committee under the chairmanship of chief secretary Rakesh Singh besides Karan Avtar Singh, secretary industries and Gagandeep Singh Brar, special principal secretary to the chief minister to oversee the arrangements.
