Train hits elderly; dies
An elderly man was run over by a passenger train near Ghaggar railway station on Ambala-Kalka railway line on Saturday morning.

An elderly man was run over by a passenger train near Ghaggar railway station on Ambala-Kalka railway line on Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Gurmeet Singh, 58, a resident of Trivedi camp near Derabassi.
The incident was reported to GRP, Lalru, at 9.35am. GRP in-charge Ranjit Singh said Gurmeet Singh was crossing the track when he was hit by the train on Ambala to Chandigarh route. The police have sent the body for post-mortem at Dera Bassi civil hospital after registering a case under section 174 of the CrPC.
