Two teenagers drowned in a water tank of the public health department at Rabra village in Gohana sub-division on late Tuesday evening.

Another child, who was accompanying them, was saved by the timely intervention of residents of the village.
As per information, after returning from the school, Lokesh (15), Deepak (15) and Suraj (12) had gone to take bath and accidentally slipped in 8-feet deep water tank located on the outskirts of the village.
The matter came to light, when one villager named Anand, who was coming from fields, saw a floating body of one of the drowned child. He informed the villagers and called in help to initiate rescue operation. Villagers jumped into the water tank but could save only Suraj from the three.
The victims were rushed to civil hospital where they were declared brought dead. While the sole survivor Suraj was referred to BPS hospital, Sonepat.
