'Via FB, Manpreet preparing grounds to enter AAP’

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) senior leaders and Punjab ministers Sikander Singh Maluka and Sharanjit Singh Dhillon on Thursday dubbed the “current activities on social media” by People’s Party of Punjab (PPP) chief Manpreet Badal as a “well-planned strategy to prepare grounds for another political opportunity in the Aam Admi Party (AAP)”.

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) senior leaders and Punjab ministers Sikander Singh Maluka and Sharanjit Singh Dhillon on Thursday dubbed the “current activities on social media” by People’s Party of Punjab (PPP) chief Manpreet Badal as a “well-planned strategy to prepare grounds for another political opportunity in the Aam Admi Party (AAP)”.

They said in a joint statement here that the PPP chief was a primary member of Congress and a “first grade political opportunist” who changed colours like a chameleon to achieve his political ambitions by switching over from one outfit to another.

“Understanding the fact that no one would believe him as he had repeatedly deceived the people, Manpreet has adopted the strategy of creating a ground for himself through his faction and other fake Facebook users,” they added, reacting to reports that certain Facebook users were urging Manpreet to join the AAP after its success in Delhi.

They also asked Manpreet how a politician could run his own outfit by having primary membership of another national party, as he had done for contesting the Lok Sabha polls from Bathinda on Congress ticket.
