2 inmates who escaped from Kurukshetra jail arrested
The district police have arrested two inmates after three prisoners escaped from the Kurukshetra district jail three days ago. Those who have been arrested on Friday have been identified as Rajat Kumar (24) and Sabar Ali (20), both residents of Shahbad.

The police had already arrested the third inmate, Rohit Kumar, who had also escaped with them.

As per the police complaint filed by deputy jail superintendent Shivender Pal Singh, the incident took place on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. He said that they were lodged in Block number 3 and they were found missing in the counting on Monday morning. Soon after the counting, the jail security officials informed the senior officers, and they informed the police to start investigation. As per the jail officials, they took advantage of construction work going on in the jail and they came out from the jail with the labourers.
Acting on the complaint, the Crime Investigation Agency of the Kurukshetra police managed to arrest one of the accused Rohit Pal a few hours later.
