At 11, Chandigarh tricity’s daily Covid cases drop by half

Chandigarh tricity also marked one whole week of no virus-related deaths; the last and only fatality this month was reported by Mohali on March 2

The tricity reported 11 fresh Covid-19 infections on Wednesday, a 50% drop from 22 cases the day before.

Chandigarh recorded seven cases, down from 13 on Tuesday, while Mohali logged just two, after nine a day ago. This was also Mohali’s lowest single-day tally this year.

In Panchkula, where no new case was reported on Tuesday, two people were found positive on Wednesday.

With the drop in cases and more recoveries, tricity’s active cased decreased from 161 to 137 in the past 24 hours. Now, Mohali has 61 infected patients, Chandigarh 59 and Panchkula 17.

Also, tricity marked one whole week of no virus-related deaths. The last and only fatality this month was reported by Mohali on March 2.
