Chandigarh tricity area detects 13 Covid cases in 24 hours, no fatality
On Monday, five cases were reported from Mohali while four each were detected in Chandigarh and Panchkula. Tricity’s active cases also dropped further to 117. As of now, Chandigarh has 58 infected persons, Mohali 33 and Panchkula 26.
A total of 13 people were found positive for Covid-19 in tricity on Monday, a slight dip from Sunday’s tally of 17. No virus-related fatality was reported from here for the 12th consecutive day. The only casualty reported so far this month was on March 2, from Mohali.
The daily positivity rate of Covid was 1.2% in Mohali, followed by 1.09% in Panchkula and only 0.3% in Chandigarh. (HT File)

The latest cases pushed Chandigarh’s Covid tally to 91,864, of which 90,641 have been cured and 1,165 have succumbed to the virus.
Mohali’s total count of 95,660, includes 94,479 recoveries and 1,148 deaths, while in Panchkula, of the total 44,111 positive patients, 43,671 have been cured and 414 have lost the battle to the virus.
